Bookem typically links online bookings to existing client profiles. However, if there are variations in details like email, mobile number, or name, a new profile may be created, leading to separate booking history, accounts, and notes.
How to avoid duplicate client profiles:
Ensure the email address and mobile number match exactly
For public bookings, both email and mobile number are required, reducing the chance of duplicate profiles
A slightly different name (~80% similar), but the same email and mobile number → existing profile is used
A new profile will be created when:
Same first and last name is used, but a different email or mobile number → new profile
Different name with the same email and mobile number → new profile
Go to Clients
Click the 'Find Duplicates' button on the top right. Select what identifiers you would like to use to find duplicate clients
Click 'Search'
A list of duplicate clients will appear. You can now view and navigate to specific clients who have duplicate profiles.
