Payfast is one of the payment methods supported by Bookem
Here's a help article explaining all payment methods.
Follow these steps:
1. Go to the PayFast website and click on the 'Sign up' button
2. Select the type of account you want to create (business or non-profit)
3. Enter your email address and password.
4. Enter your business information, such as your company name, address, and phone number
5. Link a credit or debit card or bank account to your PayFast account
6. Verify your email address
7. Complete the onboarding process
8. Once you have created your PayFast account, you will need to add it as a payment method in Bookem
Follow these steps:
1. Go to Settings > Payments & Invoicing
2. Navigate to the Payment Methods tab
3. Click + New payment Method'
4. Select PayFast as the payment type
5. Enter your Merchant ID and Merchant Key from PayFast
6. Toggle 'use for online bookings' to on if you want to let clients use this payment method for appointments when they book online.
7. Toggle 'display on invoice' to allow clients to pay their invoice via PayFast.
When PayFast is used to pay here, the client's invoices get marked as paid automatically. The practice requires no manual reconciliation.
8. Click 'Create'
Make sure that your business information is accurate and up-to-date
Use a strong password that you don't use for any other online accounts
Keep your credit or debit card or bank account information secure
Only use PayFast for authorized transactions
