Set up the types of services your business offers

Services are the appointments that your clients can book with you. They are key to your business and the first thing a client chooses when booking. You can also create services that are not available for client's to book, but are available for team members to book in your Bookem Calendar.

A complete guide to setting up your services

To create a new service:

1. Go to Settings > Services

2. Create a new service by clicking the "+ Add" button in the top right corner.

3. Give your service a name and description. You can change the colour of the service, which is useful for visual cues in your calendar.

4. Allow client bookings if you want clients to book this service themselves. To do this, tick the box next to the service name. This only applies if your calendar is set to 'Public', meaning it's viewable and bookable online.

5. Select where the service will be provided by selecting the location.

6. Now, allocate staff/ resources by selecting a team member, group or resource from the drop down menu.

7. Set service the duration by filling in 'Duration' field. You can add multiple durations to one service. e.g. 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour - simply click on the + sign and add the next duration. Read more about this here

8. You can add a price and opt to show clients pricing when they book, or not, by checking/ unchecking 'show pricing online' in General preferences. Read more about setting pricing to auto populate invoicing and more here

9. You can add a buffer before, or after, the service, to allow for travel time, room preparation or note taking. Do this under 'Show more'. Click here to learn how.
