Deleting an invoice in Bookem

Invoices can only be deleted if they are in Draft status. Once an invoice has been finalised, it can no longer be deleted. However, you still have options to manage it.

  • Editing a finalised invoice – Open the invoice and make the necessary changes

  • Voiding an invoice – If the invoice is no longer needed, you can void it instead. Voiding does not erase the invoice but archives it for audit and fraud prevention purposes. Any allocated payments will be converted into credit.

Once an invoice has been voided, it cannot be un-voided for auditing reasons. If a replacement is needed, a new invoice must be created.

How to delete a Draft invoice from a client's profile

Follow these steps:

1. Open their profile in Clients

2. Go to the Account tab and open the draft invoice

3. Click Delete on the bottom left of the invoice

* To find draft invoices in Accounts > Invoices simply use the Filter
